We are now proud to introduce the X-Fifteen, an even more advanced helmet with an all new design developed through extensive research and wind tunnel testing.

MAIN CHARACTERISTIC
AEROFORM
Improved aerodynamic performance born from racing
SHOEI first used our extensive knowhow, and supporting pressure analysis data, to create a shape with minimal air resistance. SHOEI then took that basic design and repeatedly verified and refined it in our in-house wind tunnel testing facilities. The completely redesigned aeroform demonstrates stable aerodynamics even at extremely high speeds exceeding 350 km/h, creating an impression of high-pressure performance capability.

Compared to the X-Fourteen/X-Spirit III, the X-Fifteen reduces the helmet’s lift (tendency to float upward) by 1.6% and drag (result of being pushed from the front) by 6.1%. (Figures are reference values measured using our in-house wind tunnel testing facilities.)
The shape from the ridge lines on the left and right sides of the top of the helmet to the top of the rear stabilizer has been created using advanced molding technology. As well as adding a distinctive design feature to the X-Fifteen, this contour provides high aerodynamic performance.
With the X-Fifteen, we have used a shape that is distinctly narrowed from the chin bar to the rear of the helmet. This change has significantly increased the rectifying effect.
The rear stabilizer draws airflow into tunnel-like spaces created on the left and right of the shell. The airflow is then directed to the rear, controlling its direction and enhancing stability (patent pending).
VENTILATION
Ventilation optimized for both racing and sport riding
We have used pressure analysis to determine the ideal placement of the ventilation system. The layout ensures the ventilation is positioned more efficiently for use in racing.
The X-Fifteen delivers superior ventilation performance compared to the X-Fourteen/X-Spirit III. We have achieved this by deepening the channels of the air routes inside the helmet by more than 1.5 times and by providing the outlet holes in the tunnels of the rear stabilizer.

With the newest cheek vent system, the number of ventilation holes on the inside of the helmet is approximately double that of the X-Fourteen/X-Spirit III, and the helmet is equipped with features that increase comfort while riding, even in harsh environments.
While considering the design for the X-Fifteen, we created a clay model and measured it with a 3D scanner. When we performed a simulation of the pressure distribution with the rider in the racing position, it confirmed the air intakes are located in the areas with the highest airflow as well as high pressure.
SHIELD SYSTEM
Optimal comfort in every riding situation
The X-Fifteen is fitted with the CWR-F2R shield/visor. The CWR-F2R features a center lock system that improves the contact of the shield/visor and window beading to prevent the entry of wind and rain. We have also achieved an impressively clear field of vision by placing the pins for the anti-fog sheets, which share the tear-off buttons, outside the field of vision. This allows the anti-fog sheets to cover almost the entire area when they are installed.

New system suitable for racing
Racing Shield/Visor Lock
The shield/visor of the X-Fifteen is equipped with a center lock as well as a racing lock. The two-stage shield locking mechanism reduces the risk of accidental shield/visor release in the event of a fall.
Shield/Visor Trigger Lock
The shield/visor base is fitted with a new trigger lock mechanism that includes a lever used when attaching and detaching the shield/visor. Once the trigger lever is fixed in place, it prevents the shield/visor from falling off due to impact in the event the rider tips over.
UPPER FIELD OF VISION
SHOEI has raised the eye port position of the X-Fifteen by 5 mm compared to the X-Fourteen/X-Spirit III. The shift has expanded the upper field of vision without changing the positioning of the rider’s head inside the helmet or compromising the balance of the field of vision in the vertical direction. MotoGP riders have expressed their appreciation of the wider field of vision, which is also enhanced by the racing position of the cheek pads inherited from the X-Fourteen/X-Spirit III. The improved range of vision contributes to safety during races.

INTERIOR PARTS
More precise self-adjustment offering a more comfortable fit
We have further improved the split type center pad, expanding the range of adjustment for a better fit. Each of the pad sections is now a pocket type and optional adjustment pads can be used separately to close up any gaps according to the shape of the rider’s head. The pads can also be replaced with ones of different thicknesses. Additionally, we have made the outer layer of the front, rear, left and right pads detachable, allowing them to be removed individually for a looser feel. These improvements enable each rider to better adjust the fit of their helmet.
The cheek pads are also uniquely shaped along the lower edge of the helmet to prevent lift while riding. Meanwhile, the cheek areas themselves are 116% larger than the X-Fourteen/X-Spirit III, providing strong hold with minimal shaking even while traveling at high speed.
The X-Fifteen employs a hybrid combination of materials in its interior surface: a highly moisture-absorbent and quick-drying material for those areas where sweat accumulates easily, and a soft, raised fabric for those areas that may rub against the rider’s skin when putting on or taking off the helmet.

The center pad is split into six parts for the front, top, rear, side (left and right) and neck areas.
For the front, side and rear parts, the urethane inside the cheek pad has one layer on the cheek side that is detachable, allowing the fitting to be partially loosened from the standard size.
READY FOR HYDRATION SYSTEM
A hydration system can be used during long rides in extreme midsummer conditions or endurance races. The X-Fifteen has an attachment mechanism near the rider’s mouth for mounting hydration components on the helmet. A hydration system can easily be set up by combining the optional hydration tube and commercially available accessories.

QUIETNESS
Quietness that enhances concentration and reduces strain while riding
Reducing noise generation and increasing quietness inside the helmet improves a rider’s concentration while easing their fatigue. The center-locking CWR-F2R shield/visor significantly improves sealing and is fitted with vortex generators at both its left and right edges. They create a rectifying effect that directs airflow on the shield/visor side to the rear, helping to reduce the generation of noise at the shield/visor.

EMERGENCY QUICK RELEASE SYSTEM (E.Q.R.S.)
System for removing helmet in an emergency in the event of an accident
In situations where the rider has an unfortunate accident, emergency workers who need to take the helmet off generally find it more difficult than they thought. Along with impact absorption and comfort, supporting rescue work in such emergencies is another important function of helmets Our proprietary Emergency Quick Release System (E.Q.R.S.) features special ribbons on the cheek pad. Simply pulling this ribbon allows the helmet to be easily removed while minimizing the weight placed on the rider’s potentially injured neck.
